According to the National Land Transportation Agency, like adults, children must carry a document that certifies their identity. The following are accepted: birth certificate, identity card and passport. Parents are advised to issue their child's ID as soon as possible, avoiding traveling with a birth certificate alone
. Can minors travel unaccompanied?
Children under 12 years of age cannot travel outside the city in which they reside unaccompanied by their parents or guardians, except with judicial authorization.
